ESCO

TTE Engineering’s ESCO team was commissioned by Dubai Maritime City Head Office to perform a detailed energy audit to help realize the substantial quantum energy savings potential of the building, and accordingly proposing a viable solution to help optimize the energy efficiency of the HO. The scope of work for this project included the supply, installation, testing, commissioning and the operational verification of various ECMs. Identifying the main energy guzzler as the chiller plant, pumps, the AHU in-efficiency, and the load side equipment default, the TTE team of energy experts suggested retrofit solutions that included replacement of major equipment and systems such as the air cooled chiller, CHW pumps, FAHU, AHU, FCU, lighting, BMS, and water pumps. The crucial challenges faced by ESCO during identification and designing of ECMs was that, the structure was a Govt. operating office and hence the solution implementation was to be carried out without disturbing the facility operations. Nonetheless, overcoming these challenges the team successfully completed the project by baselining, performing detailed measurements, identification of losses, inefficiencies, proposing the most lucrative ECMs, savings calculations, installation of the best suited solutions as well as providing training and awareness to the operating staff. TTE was thus able to curb emissions by 17.5%.
