In line with the UAE’s vision as a smart and net zero country, TTE is one of the few 100% Emirati companies to offer MEP and Solar Project solutions, under one umbrella. As solar prices continue to fall, production capacity increases, and the industry continues to innovate. Solar is quick to deploy and scalable; it is unquestionably proven in its ability to deliver an energy transition at scale and at speed, disrupting traditional utility models in the process. TTE Renewables Solar PV is in business for a purpose – to make a meaningful difference in the fight against climate chaos through the widespread adoption of solar power.

Applications

On-Grid System

On-grid or grid-tie solar systems are by far the most common and widely used by homes and businesses. These systems do not need batteries and use either solar inverters or micro-inverters and are connected to the public electricity grid (under net metering scheme). Any excess solar power generated is exported to the electricity grid and the system owner credits for the energy exported.

Off-Grid System

An off-grid system is not connected to the electricity grid and therefore requires battery storage (commonly used in places where electricity grid not available). Off-grid solar systems must be designed appropriately so that they will generate enough power throughout the year and have enough battery capacity to meet the home’s requirements, even in the depths of winter when there is generally much less sunlight.

Hybrid Solar System

Modern hybrid systems combine solar with Genset and battery storage in one and are now available in many different forms and configurations. Due to the decreasing cost of battery storage and increasing fuel cost, facilities currently running on Gensets can be switch to Hybrid Solar systems in-order to reduce the fuel consumption and minimize the operational cost and Carbon footprints.

Operation & Maintenance

Operation & Maintenance (O&M) is one of the most critical ways to ensure that the solar system gives the best possible generation. At TTE, we work to maintain the plant infrastructure and equipment, with the goal of improving the equipment’s life which enables the solar plant to produce the maximum amount of energy.

Approach

Our priority is to advocate for the astonishing role solar can play in
combatting the unfolding climate crisis. Solar is changing our world for the better. And we want to make sure that everyone we interact with is on board with the need for an energy transition.

We engage to help clients understand more about the climate emergency, the power of solar energy, and to maximize local input in projects through direct and indirect jobs.

We develop biodiversity plans for each project we develop to
reduce carbon as much as possible.

Our fully-integrated approach means that we are involved in projects from inception to operation. We can successfully navigate complex projects whilst maximizing returns to investors.

Net Metering Scheme

Initiated in 2015, the DEWA Net Metering Scheme allows customers to connect solar systems to the grid and owners get credited for the power they add to the grid. Net metering principle- when solar panels produce excess power, that power is sent to the grid. And this power can be ‘taken back’ when the solar plants are not functioning. When a unit of solar energy has been ‘net metered’, the bi-directional electricity meter will run backwards and the billing is for ‘net’ energy use only.
