TTE Engineering wins Retrofit Project of the Year at MEP Awards 2024!

TTE Engineering is proud to announce that we have won the “Highly Commended” award for Retrofit Project of the Year at the MEP Awards 2024, organized by MEP Middle East (ITP).

Our retrofit projects are driven by a strong commitment to value engineering and sustainability, focusing on improved design and reducing environmental impact. Cumulatively, we have helped our clients avoid over 1.8 million kgs of CO2 emissions, which is the equivalent of planting 30,000 trees.

Al Gurg Building Services was looking for a solution that could reduce utility energy consumption and minimize operation cost. TTE’s Solar team were commissioned to propose a rooftop solar plant for this purpose. The scope of work included installation of 912kWp on the factory roof, a solar system designed to factor in the 65% energy requirements of the factory, with the rest fulfilled from the DEWA Grid. The challenge posed for the team while working on this project was that the factory was built in 1962 and hence the integration of the solar system with DEWA Grid was difficult. Nonetheless, the team managed to find a viable solution and complete the project successfully.
