TTE Engineering Delivers Solar PV Solution for Shimadzu MEA

Industrial decarbonization is no longer a future ambition. It is becoming a practical business decision.

TTE Engineering successfully delivered a carport and rooftop solar PV installation for the Shimadzu Middle East & Africa regional headquarters in Dubai. The integrated solar solution transforms available space to generate renewable energy and support the facility’s day-to-day operations. To date, the system has generated 240+ MWh of clean energy and avoided 115+ tones of CO₂ emissions, which is equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of 5,400 mature trees.

Rahul Kalra, Vice President, TTE Engineering, recently met with Koji Ishibashi, Managing Director; RAVICHANDRAN NATESAN, Director & CFO; Raj Makhamale, Director and Division Manager – Analytical and Measuring Instruments Division; and Kumar Raju, Senior Technical Support Manager to discuss the performance of the solar installation, its contribution to Shimadzu’s sustainability goals and opportunities for continued optimization.

Preparing talent for the UAE market requires closer alignment between training, recruitment and workplace realities.

TTE recently hosted H.E. Amb. Jayne Toroitich, Consul General of the Republic of Kenya to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and Ms. Angela Mbaya, Labour Attaché for a discussion on how this alignment can be strengthened for Kenyan talent.

The conversation explored potential collaboration with technical and vocational institutes in Kenya, with a focus on preparing candidates for the practical requirements of UAE industries. It also covered structured recruitment, smoother onboarding and the development of a more sustainable talent pipeline. Through one-to-one interactions with Kenyan employees, the delegation also gained insight into their experiences, challenges and overall well-being in the UAE.

The exchange brought valuable perspectives together to support a more effective journey from training and recruitment to workplace integration.
